A Special Event

Details and this year’s special theme coming soon!

During his life, Yogacharya Oliver Black counseled, guided, and uplifted the spiritual lives of thousands of sincere seekers. Through Song of the Morning, the retreat he founded at the request of his Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda, his spiritual legacy continues to inspire and transform lives today.

It is with gratitude that we gather each year to honor Yogacharya’s birthday and celebrate his life of service, devotion, friendship, and generosity. We warmly invite you to join us September 4–6, 2026 for a meaningful weekend of meditation, spiritual fellowship, reflection, and inspiration in the peaceful setting of Song of the Morning.

The weekend will include group meditations, Golden Lotus Hatha Yoga, spiritual programs, fellowship gatherings, and opportunities to deepen your connection with the spirit and history of the Retreat. Additional program details and special presentations will be announced as plans are finalized.

As we continue carrying forward the vision entrusted to Yogacharya by Paramahansa Yogananda, this annual gathering offers an opportunity to reconnect with spiritual community, honor the founding spirit of Song of the Morning, and reflect on the enduring influence of Yogacharya’s life and teachings.

Whether you knew Yogacharya personally or are discovering his legacy for the first time, we welcome you to join us for this special weekend of remembrance, gratitude, and spiritual renewal.
