The Divine Mother
With Naren K. Schreiner and Lopamudra Bose
July 5 - 8, 2018
Program Fee: $198
The Western world had not yet understood of the Motherhood of God until Paramahansa Yogananda brought his teachings of the Divine Mother. He explained, “We can worship God as the Father, but we can also worship God as the Divine Mother, for Mother is closer than the Father.” This three-day immersion will focus on India’s timeless embrace of Divine Mother in Her various manifestations and look at many of our assumptions and limited understanding of who, or what, Divine Mother is. Commingling the love of our hearts with the wisdom of our minds, we will delve into India’s sacred pathway that blends worship (puja) and scripture (shastra), meditation (dhyana) and chanting (kirtan), spirit (purusha or shiva) and nature (prakriti or shakti). All of this in the beautiful Natureland of Song of the Morning.
Prices listed during the registration process will include meal and accommodation fees with the base program fee of $198.
Scholarships are available for those in financial need. Please contact Amani at office@songofthemorning.org for more information. If you have questions about the content of this retreat, please feel free to contact Naren or Lopa at info@sangitayoga.com.
