A Guest Teacher Retreat

“Hatha yoga’s true value and purpose is unfolding the infinite potentials of the human mind and soul. It’s system of techniques and physical postures promote health and mental calm.”

-Paramahansa Yogananda

Immerse yourself in the powerful, body and soul enriching practice of meditative Hatha Yoga in this comprehensive retreat presented by the Golden Lotus Yoga Teacher’s Association (GLYTA). In the 800 acre, pristine, natural healing environment of Song of the Morning Ranch, enjoy choosing from a variety of Hatha classes designed to enrich your practice of yoga postures and perhaps introduce you to new and deeper ways of approaching this art and science.

Combined with delicious vegetarian meals, periods of meditation, chanting, and quiet time to allow for inner reflection and the enjoyment of nature, this retreat will encourage feelings of deep peace, fulfilment and joy.

THE UNIQUE GLYTA STYLE

GLYTA was established in 1966 by Yogacharya J. Oliver Black and is considered to be the oldest school of yoga in the United States.

The main focus of GLYTA yoga is to prepare the body and mind for higher levels of consciousness and ultimately, Self Realization as championed by Paramahansa Yogananda. This is achieved through the practice of concentration during postures, use of the cleansing breath, bringing awareness to the spiritual eye and the spine in the still point of asana, and pausing after each posture to feel the subtle energies in the body. Classes are designed to apply to all levels of experience–beginner through advanced.

This retreat will be led by Kaye Thomas-Hogan, the president of GLYTA with 40 years of experience in meditation and Hatha yoga, accompanied by our most experienced teachers and teacher trainers.

Lodging Fee: By clicking the Register Now button, you can pay for your lodging, which includes the cost of meals and the retreat fee.
