NEW! Gardening for Divine Vitality
With Will and Wendy Page-Echols and Justine Markey
August 16 - 18, 2024
A Spiritual Living Retreat
“If you have a tendency toward gardening….have a small garden…and spend most of your Saturdays and Sundays in finding your peace in garden work.”
~Paramahansa Yogananda
We invite all gardeners (beginning and seasoned) to join an experiential hands -on workshop featuring practical gardening techniques combined with spiritual principles on which they are based. Paramahansa Yogananda often used the image of the garden in his spiritual writings and this workshop will demonstrate how this practical practice can enrich your spiritual life.
In the sylvan setting of Song of the Morning Ranch, the workshop will feature garden tours, introduction to permaculture based thinking, including organic and ethical approaches to gardening, mulching and companion planting, and hands-on projects like making compost tea brew, creating no-till beds, and methods of indoor gardening in containers.
Combined with garden-direct vegetarian meals, hatha yoga classes, and meditations, participants will enjoy a truly pleasurable and informative gardening experience designed to create peace and spiritual awareness.
Registration open for those ready to join; specific details to follow!
