Golden Lotus Presents Convocation at the Ranch

August 2–9, 2026 – Guests are welcome to attend for the full week or for whichever days they are able.

Immerse yourself in the transformative program of classes on Paramahansa Yogananda’s how-to-live teachings in the uplifting natural environment of Song of the Morning: A Yoga and Meditation Retreat of Excellence.

Join us for this annual event! Enjoy the fellowship and intense blessings of the week of Convocation in company with God seeking souls in the retreat’s harmonious, inspiring woodland setting.

The Upper Boathouse will be available throughout the week for quiet personal meditation time.

The program location will either be in the newly renovated Upper Wheelhouse, or in the Domes.

In the spirit of Master’s words, “When in service you forget the little self, you will feel the big Self of spirit”, volunteering will not only be an important part of the program experience. It is also what will make this special week possible. Everyone will be invited to sign up for one volunteer shift during the week (or more, never conflicting with other activities). Options will include kitchen prep, dish washing, gardening, or other areas of need that may arise.

Silence: On Thursday of Convocation Week, we will observe silence as a Community to support deepening in this sacred week. Additionally, we will have silent tags available for anyone who wishes to spend time in silence at other times as well as designated “silent” seating areas for meals. A smile and prayer hands will also let us know you’re observing silence.

Program & SRF Registration: This program is offered free of charge. Everyone who joins at the Ranch must also register online for the free virtual SRF Convocation program through their website by clicking here. If you wish, instead of donating to SRF when you register, you can contribute to the designated fund that Song of the Morning will collect and present on behalf of all the devotees who participated.

Donations: As part of this special event, Song of the Morning will collect donations and present Self-Realization Fellowship with the proceeds as a single donation at the conclusion of Convocation. You can make a contribution during registration and/or in person during the program. Your donation is greatly appreciated.

Lodging Fee: Accommodations and meals are charged at the usual rates. Participants are welcome to come for whichever dates of the program they are able. By clicking the Register Now button, you’ll be able to pay for your lodging, which includes the cost of meals. You may join for whichever nights you choose.

Commuter Registration: For those who are local or commuting to this event, please register through this page and select the free “Commuter” option to receive notifications and updates. Going further down the page, you will see where to select meals for the week. The deadline for meal reservations is July 30th.
