Personal Retreats at Song of the Morning
What is a Personal Retreat?
Personal Retreats are for returning guests who wish to enjoy a self-guided, quiet getaway of spiritual renewal. If you are new to Song of the Morning, we encourage you to first join a group program (click here to see our calendar of events) so you can be welcomed and introduced to our community, practices and activities.
Schedule of Offerings
Personal Retreat guests are welcome to arrive Wednesday through Sunday, when our office is open. Please scroll down to see our weekly schedule, which includes meditation service and hatha yoga. Homemade vegetarian meals are served Wednesday through Sunday. When meals are not served, guests can bring their own vegetarian provisions. The Wheelhouse has a full private kitchen, the Lodge has a shared kitchen, and the Boathouse Hermitage Suites have a full shared kitchen.
All retreatants are encouraged to join our nightly meditations held from 8-9 p.m. Tues-Sat. in the Lodge. Weekend guests are welcome to join our hatha yoga class at 2 p.m. Saturday, our Sunday Service at 11 a.m., and/or our Sunday Community Dinner at 1 p.m. Beyond these events, you will find plenty of time, peace, and quiet to experience a soul-enriching getaway deep in the woods, and deep into the soul’s native peace. Meditative walking trails that lead to a Shrine dedicated to each of the Self-Realization Fellowship Masters weave throughout our forest and allow guests an easy way to prayerfully immerse in the beauty of nature.
Registration
Click the Register Now button to view accommodations and book your personal retreat at Song of the Morning Yoga Retreat. Prices are all inclusive, providing access to retreat facilities, walking trails, and meditations, as well as the cost of meals. Reduced rates are available for those in need and willing to offer some light service. Simply inquire with our office.
We offer a 15% discount for a week-long stay. Inquire for more information.

- 10 a.m. – Brunch

- 8 p.m. – SOM Meditation (prayer, guidance, silence and healing service)
Saturday:
- 10 a.m. – Brunch
- 2 p.m. – Golden Lotus Hatha Yoga (1 hour)
- 5 p.m. – Dinner
- 8 p.m. – SOM Meditation
Sunday:
- 11 a.m. – Self Realization Fellowship Sunday Service (75 min.) – based on the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda
- 1 p.m. – Sunday Community Dinner
Monday:
- No scheduled activities
Tuesday:
- 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Three-Hour Meditation – Lodge
- 8 p.m. – SOM Meditation
Wednesday:
- 10 a.m. – Brunch
- 5 p.m. – Dinner
- 8 p.m. – SOM Meditation
Thursday
